The Real Story of the Wizard of Oz - Art Splash 2009

On 19 August the school drama group (which is made up of year 7's and 8's) performed at the Wellington Opera House as part of Art Splash Drama.  Approximately 10 groups performed on the evening.  It was fantastic to watch and we have some very talented young adults.  Thanks to Andrew Graham for taking the drama group.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Gardener

This year we again were entertained by "The Gardener".  His storytelling was amusing and riveting for all. 

 

Authors Day -Dressing up

In August we had Gavin Bishop, a childrens book author come and talk to the school about writing books, and to relay some of his life experiences that he has transferred into his work.  To make it a special day the whole school dressed up as a character from a book.  What a lot of fun was had.  We had all sorts of characters at school for the day - including the teachers.  Being taught by Clifford the Big Red Dog, Garfield, Little Red Riding Hood or Heidi must have been rather amusing for the children!
