RATA SYNDICATE
Our junior school is located in Rata block. A separate classroom is also being used for some of the children.
Rata Block is an open plan building that is specially designed for young children. There are four separate teaching spaces for each class and a room for Reading Recovery. The students work in their own teaching space and also have the opportunity to come together for whole block activities such as singing and art. The teachers work closely together and students are able to form friendships within the whole block.

Most children who come to Papakowhai School will have Mrs Foster as their first teacher. Mrs Foster is the new entrant teacher.

Mrs Jones and Ms Boonen have new entrants and year one children in their class.

Mrs Catherine Church
Mrs Church is the senior teacher for the Junior block. She teaches both year one and year two children.

Mrs Katrina Trlin
Mrs Trlin restarted at the school in April 2009 to teach those children who no longer needed to be in the new entrant classes. Her classroom is the stand alone class between Rata and Rimu blocks. Click to see work completed by Mrs Trlin's class.
