Kauri Syndicate

Kauri Syndicate is for year 7 and 8 children.  The Year 7 and 8 students are given the opportunity to take leadership roles in  the school.  Students organise and lead the assembly twice a term. The Year 8 students are Whanau Group leaders, encouraging and managing groups of children on sports days. Teamwork is also a important focus with students participating in Fairplay sport, Kauri block camp, and sporting events.

The year 7 and 8 students also attend technology classes at Plimmerton School on Wednesday mornings.  They learn Food Technology, Textiles, Materials Technology and ICT. 

 

Miss Kylie August

Miss August teaches a year 7 and 8 class, known as Kauri 1. She is also the Syndicate Leader for Kauri Block.
