Kauri Syndicate
Kauri Syndicate is the senior school, and is three classes for years 6 to 8 children.
The Year 7 and 8 students are given the opportunity to take leadership roles in the school. Students organise and lead the assembly twice a term. The Year 8 students are Whanau Group leaders, encouraging and managing groups of children on sports days. participating in Fairplay sport, and sporting events.
Teamwork is also a important focus with the year 7 and 8 students also attending technology classes at Plimmerton School on Wednesday mornings were they participate in four learning programmes involving Food Technology, Textiles, Materials Technology and ICT. This group of year 7 and 8's also attend an annual camp.

Miss Kylie August
Miss August teaches a year 7 and 8 class, known as Kauri 1. She is also the Syndicate Leader for Kauri Block.

Mr Andrew Graham
Mr Graham teaches a year 7 and 8 class, known as Kauri 2.
Mr Richard Johnson
Mr Johnson (known in the school as Mr J) teaches years 6 and 7 in Kauri Block. Mr J is a talented guitarist and is often playing his guitar for school singing and has entertained parents and children at school events.
