Using digital photos to create amzaing art was one of the topics undertaken by this class.  Here are some interesting art samples.

   

Designing an Area for Primates at a Zoo

The class studied Primates - gorillas, chimpanzee, apes etc.  Then knowing how they like to live and their natural environments they had to design an enclosure for their particular primate that they chose to study.  To assist them the two senior classes visited the Wellington Zoo.  As well as having time to look at the whole zoo particular time was spent looking behind the scenes at the chimpanzee enlosure.  It was absolutely fascinating and gave everyone a different appreciation of the animals themselves and of the work that goes into keeping them safe and healthy.  Here is an example of one of the finished designs.
