Mrs Church's Class of 2008
There has been alot of learning happening within Mrs Church's class this year. This page will show only a few snippets of classroom work.
Reading
Learning to read is such an important key to future learning. During the week there are many opportunities provided to enhance this skill. Reading groups, one on one reading, story time, mat time, library time, books to take home and silent reading all provide opportunities to increase the childrens reading skills. Role modelling of reading is also important and Mrs Church is seen in this photo enjoying reading along with the children.
Where does milk come from?
The children with the Rata syndicate have been learning where milk comes from and as part of that they visited Lindale Farm. The children had a ball and it was great to see theire absorbing all the information. When back at school they had the opportunity to make butter with the knowledge they gained.
