Camp 2008

The senior clases went to Kaitoke this year for their school camp.  It was a fun action packed time. Here are a few snaps taken at camp.

Portraits - 2 Views

The class has worked on producing portraits with a difference.  At one time the children produced a silouette view and then the shape for the face filled in with colour and words which describe the person.  Another project was to draw themselves and then frame the picture with small objects that show their likes and personalities.

Sketching

As a school wide exercise we contracted an artist who talked and showed children the art of sketching.  Taking objects from the class the artist drew what they saw quickly.  The children then had to do the same.  The effect was quite interesting.
