After School Care

We run an After School Care programme here at Papakowhai School. We also welcome children from other schools.

To enrol: If you would like to enrol your child in After School Care please download the enrolment form and send through to the office. Or call the school office (on 233 8321) or the After School Care supervisor Susan Dixon on 027 233 9403.

Open hours: The programme is open from 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Whats on offer?: The children enjoy a safe, fun and happy environment. They are able to their homework in a quite study area. Or they might choose to be involved in some art and craft activities or a sport game.

They have access to:

* books, puzzles, games

* outdoor play areas

* planned arts and crafts projects

* sport equipment

Afternoon snacks: When the children arrive and sign in they are given drinks and snacks. Fish Finger Friday is becoming very popular.

Rates: The rate is $7.20 (incl GST) per child per hour. There is a one hour minumum charge. With a 15 minute block charge after 4pm. It is important to tell the school office (ph: 233 8321) before 2.30pm on any day if a child is, or is not, attending.

OSCAR: Yes the programme is OSCAR approved. And OSCAR subsidy applications forms are available from the after school care supervisor (ph: 233 8321)
