Camp
Each year the year seven and eight children have the opportunity to enjoy the school camp experience. Papakowhai School alternates between a three day camp in the Akatawera's one year and a five day camp in Nelson at the Teapot Valley Christian camp. It is an opportunity to try activities not usually available to most children. Abseiling, orienteering, canoeing, go-carting, flying foxes, and rock climbing are just a few of the activities they get to encounter during this outdoor education experience. Teachers join the children along with parent helpers. Each camp also has experienced staff to demonstrate and help the children.
