Run, Jump, Throw

Every two years children take part in 'Run, Jump, Throw' Athletics day at school.  This day is a chance for the senior student to shine and lead small groups of students in each activity. The children are organised into their Whanau Groups.  Each group recieve get points for participation, working together, and caring for each other and the sports equipment.  Parents are invited to come and participate with the groups. The Whanau Groups are arranged so children from the same family are together, making it easier for parents to be with them on the day.

"We all have a leader from Kauri Block, we move around the different activities like sprints, long jump, high jump and ball throw.  Only Kauri Block are allowed to do discus." by Alex
