Other Sports
Papakowhai School children participate in many sports other than those run by the school. There are many excellently organised sports clubs around the area which the children are encouraged to join. Examples of these are:
Soccer: Western Suburbs Soccer Club and Porirua Soccer Club
Rugby: Paremata Plimmerton Rugby Club
Softball and Teeball: Paremata Plimmerton Softball Club
Swimming: Mana Swimco, Porirua Swimming Club, Tawa Swimming Club
Athletics: Whitby Athletics operates during the warmer months, as does Titahi Bay Athletics
Tennis: There are a number of clubs in Porirua
Golf: Judgeford Club, (plus many others)
Indoor netball: Contact Porirua Recreation Centre
Karate: A Karate instructor teachers Karate in the school hall on Tuesday afternoons
